Darrion is an associate trial consultant at Laird Trial Consulting.  Darrion joined the team after amassing a wealth of experience as a trial attorney; his experience includes serving as a felony prosecutor for Missouri and Kansas, an in-house trial attorney for a major insurance company, and as a solo practitioner in criminal defense.  Over his career, Darrion has tried cases ranging from assault to murder, and has extensive experience with dispositive motions and deposition practice.

To combine his passion for narrative and rhetoric with his love of trial work, Darrion decided to transition from traditional law practice to trial consulting and is currently pursuing a Ph.D in legal communication from the University of Kansas with particular interest in judicial rhetoric, jury behavior and decision-making.  At LTC, Darrion offers practical, strategic advice to clients that fuses his legal and doctoral training. Prior to consulting and practicing law, Darrion earned his Juris Doctor at the University of Missouri School of Law in Columbia, Missouri and his Bachelor of Science in Socio-political Communication from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri.
